Accountant – Dubai, UAE

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our Dubai office. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Manage full‑cycle accounting: AP, AR, invoicing, subcontractor payments, and general ledger postings.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation and amortisation using QuickBooks or similar ERP.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements.
• Monitor cash flow, update forecasts and assist financial planning.
• Handle payroll‑related accounting, including accruals and funding coordination.
• Validate expenses, petty cash, payroll reports and payment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT/GST regulations and assist tax filing.
• Coordinate with banks, manage inter‑company transactions and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
