Accountant – Finance & Accounts (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Dubai. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and VAT returns.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment requests, purchase orders and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, cash and supplier reconciliations.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Support payroll‑related financial records and employee expense reimbursements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and information.
• Monitor project expenses, petty cash and other company expenditures.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, banks and internal departments on financial matters.
• Assist management with budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
• Perform other accounting and finance‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations (preferred).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
