Accountant - Fit-Out

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time Accountant for the fit-out sector in Dubai. The role covers day-to-day accounting operations, project budget monitoring and monthly reporting, with coordination across procurement and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting: accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and process client invoices, subcontractor and supplier payments and petty cash
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses and ensure cost control against estimates
• Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery notes and LPOs, and coordinate with procurement and project teams on approvals
• Follow up on outstanding supplier payments and reconcile supplier accounts
• Prepare monthly reports: profit & loss, cash flow forecasts and job cost reports
• Handle VAT computations and returns, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws
• Assist with annual budgets, audits and financial planning
• Keep records accurate and in line with IFRS and company policy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in fit-out, construction or joinery (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of project costing, revenue recognition and WIP accounting
• Solid knowledge of UAE VAT and financial compliance
• High attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to handle multiple accounts under tight deadlines
