Accountant – General Ledger, AP/AR & Taxation

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and support compliance activities. This role works closely with the Finance Manager and cross‑functional teams to keep the company’s financial data reliable and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries in line with accounting standards.
• Process and post project‑based invoices, manage accounts payable and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor and customer accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow reports and month‑/year‑end closing.
• Prepare payroll, support tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Generate aging reports, cash‑flow forecasts and support internal/external audits.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales and operations on billing, payment and collection issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and solid business acumen.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
