Accountant – Immediate Start (School Finance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our school’s finance team immediately. The role will handle all finance‑related activities, from invoicing and cash management to supporting the Principal with budgeting and MIS.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices for tuition, exam fees, trips and other services accurately and on time.
• Contact parents daily to follow up on payments and issue receipts to ensure timely bank reconciliation.
• Manage petty‑cash transactions in line with company policies and provide supporting documents for treasury processing.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable ledger, perform revenue recognition and ensure GL accounts are correct before month‑end close.
• Assist the Principal in building and adjusting the school budget and review monthly MIS reports.
• Coordinate with HQ finance for annual budgeting, strategic planning and monthly closing activities.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and respond to ad‑hoc information requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and support staff on finance‑related matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance function, or a professional qualification with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and budgeting processes.
