Accountant – Intercompany & VAT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee day‑to‑day accounting across several entities in the UAE. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain intercompany reconciliation records and resolve differences
• Manage related‑party balances, schedules and confirmations
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records
• Process vendor invoices and payment requests with proper approvals
• Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger and other financial records
• Maintain books of accounts for multiple legal entities
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial close activities
• Ensure timely UAE VAT compliance, including return preparation and filing
• Initiate vendor payments with appropriate documentation
• Coordinate with subsidiaries to reconcile and eliminate intercompany balances
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and audit support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred, CMA a plus)
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the UAE
• Experience handling multiple entities and intercompany accounting
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards
