Accountant

About the role

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children seeks a dedicated Accountant to manage its financial operations. You will ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting to support the foundation’s humanitarian mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the foundation’s bank accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems in line with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial databases for the organization.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines.
• Process vendor invoices and execute necessary payments.
• Oversee accurate analysis of expenses.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation to maintain accuracy and adherence to procedures.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist auditors by providing supporting documentation.
• Review financial information to identify potential budget variances and compile statistical reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, or accounting.
• Professional accounting certifications such as CFA, CPA, CFM, CIMA, or similar.
