Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant to join a fast‑growing technology startup operating across the UAE, MENA and US markets. The successful candidate will own cash‑flow forecasting, financial reporting and day‑to‑day accounting operations in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a rolling 8‑12 week cash‑flow forecast.
• Monitor daily cash position and working capital.
• Prepare and review monthly profit & loss statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the general ledger using Xero ERP.
• Handle accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable.
• Process supplier payments and support payroll.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and UK accounting standards.
• Prepare financial reports for leadership and drive finance‑process improvements.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or technology company.
• Hands‑on experience with Xero.
• Strong background in cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Excellent understanding of P&L, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and UK accounting standards.
