Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will manage the organization’s financial records, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle confidential financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain the general ledger.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Present financial reports and findings to management.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is an advantage.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
