Accountant

About the role

Fancy Star Diamonds is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join its team in Dubai on a full-time basis. The role covers daily accounting operations, accurate financial records, transaction processing and support of financial reporting. It suits someone with previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance who can handle financial responsibilities independently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations and bookkeeping activities
• Record financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and other financial documents
• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledger records
• Monitor payments, expenses, outstanding balances and collections
• Maintain updated customer and supplier accounts
• Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting
• Coordinate with management, auditors and external accountants when necessary

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations, ledger management, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ability to work independently, manage several financial tasks and take ownership of accounting responsibilities
• High attention to detail, accuracy, organisation and good communication skills
