About the role
The Accountant is responsible for processing, recording, updating and reconciling accounting transactions accurately and efficiently, in line with company methods and policies, so that accounting information remains reliable.
Key responsibilities
- Review, enter and control daily entries and transactions, and make sure supporting documents are properly classified
- Process and track payments according to internal approvals and agreed payment methods
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile prepaid and accrued expenses
- Assist in preparing financial statements in line with legal and company guidelines
- Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual closings on time
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns according to local legislation
- Manage and inventory fixed assets, and maintain a proper archive system
- Maintain and reconcile the petty cash account
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience within an IT enterprise
