Accountant

About the role

This position covers day-to-day accounting work, including recording payments and receipts, reconciling bank and customer/vendor accounts, and supporting month-end closing. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce and previous accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions using NetSuite ERP.
• Prepare and process payment and receipt entries, and record customer receipts and supplier payments in the ERP.
• Perform bank reconciliation and reconcile customer and vendor accounts, following up on discrepancies.
• Maintain general accounting records, ledgers and supporting documents, and verify invoices, payment vouchers and receipts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support month-end closing and the preparation of accounting reports.
• Ensure proper filing of financial records and coordinate with internal teams on payments, receipts and outstanding balances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of payment and receipt entries, bank reconciliation and general accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
