Accountant

About the role

A growing real estate company based in Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage its day-to-day accounting operations. The role maintains accurate financial records, prepares reports, manages transactions and ensures compliance with UAE accounting, VAT and regulatory requirements, working closely with management to support better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and keep accurate financial records
• Record transactions, prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and client reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other statutory requirements
• Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation
• Maintain accounting records in Zoho Books
• Keep a basic understanding of UAE AML regulations and support AML compliance
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls, and work with other departments on financial planning
