Accountant

About the role

A growing organization in the United Arab Emirates is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant. The role covers maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring company expenses and supporting daily accounting operations, in line with company policies and financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses and payments
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Monitor budgets, expenses and cash flow
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and financial reports
• Assist with monthly and annual closing procedures
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate with banks, suppliers and clients
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist management with financial analysis and budgeting
• Keep financial information confidential

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Understanding of UAE tax and VAT requirements is an advantage
• ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage

• QuickBooks, Tally or SAP
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail, organization and time management
