Accountant – Main Contractor

About the role

We are a diversified main contractor seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our financial records and support the finance team. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and basic financial reports.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial documentation.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA).
• 6‑7 years of accounting experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience in the contracting industry (civil or MEP) strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Good communication skills in English and a professional working attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
