Accountant – Medical Device Company in Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a reputable medical-device company in Dubai. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in month-end and year-end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and review vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, supplier, and general-ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support financial and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules and reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain vendor master data and support procurement-related accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a B2B multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
