Accountant – Real Estate Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our real‑estate development team in the UAE. The role will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensure regulatory compliance and support project financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations and month‑end / year‑end closing.
• Process supplier invoices, payment requests, vendor reconciliations and schedule payments.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, contractor payments and development expenditures.
• Reconcile escrow accounts and ensure compliance with RERA, DLD and other regulations.
• Handle customer financial documentation such as statements of account, receipts, tax invoices, credit notes and perform customer account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service on collections, settlements, transfers and cancellations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS and prepare related returns and filings.
• Lead external audit processes, prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records and ensure timely processing of payments and collections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional qualification is a plus.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a UAE real‑estate development environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS and escrow management.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce and Tally ERP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting capabilities.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and external audits.
