Accountant – UAE Tax & Accounting Services

About the role

WellTax is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Dubai office. You will be responsible for delivering tax and accounting compliance services to UAE and international clients while supervising junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and accounting compliance work.
• Supervise, support and review the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Coordinate daily workflows within the junior accounting team and monitor internal deadlines.
• Prepare VAT returns, accounting schedules, management accounts and statutory accounts.
• Assist with corporate tax returns, tax computations, disclosures and related documentation.
• Support senior team members on Corporate Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing projects.
• Draft tax memorandums, letters, compliance reports and other client deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, external regulators, auditors and professional advisers as required.
• Act as the first point of review and escalation for junior accountants.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in accountancy, tax practice or a related professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and supervise junior staff.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to staying updated on UAE tax and accounting developments.
