Accountant – UAE Trading & Distribution

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to lead the day‑to‑day accounting operations of our trading and distribution business in the UAE. The role offers the opportunity to own the full accounting function and work closely with finance, warehouse, and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare trial balances, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Complete monthly and annual financial closing within set timelines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Record and reconcile petty cash and main cash transactions.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with FTA requirements.
• Verify LPOs before issuance and prepare commercial invoices.
• Coordinate customer collections and monitor receivables.
• Work with the warehouse team on inventory reconciliation and stock adjustments.
• Support management reporting and profitability analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Experience in a trading, distribution, or inventory‑based business is preferred.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
