Accounting Team Leader – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Team Leader to join our growing advisory and consulting firm in Dubai. The role is ideal for a results‑driven professional with strong UAE tax and compliance knowledge who can lead a team of accountants and ensure high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and review the accounting team’s work, ensuring timely and accurate client bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Maintain reconciliation status reporting and escalate unresolved issues to senior management.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal departments on accounting matters and conduct weekly team meetings.
• Prepare and coordinate annual DMCC audit reports and manage VAT and Corporate Tax registrations, filings, and compliance.
• Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, identify training needs, and support professional development.
• Lead onboarding and induction of junior staff and drive continuous improvement of processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a UAE‑based accounting advisory or consulting firm.
• Proven experience leading or supervising an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA regulations.
• Fluent in English and Russian with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
