Accounts Receivable Accountant (Fixed Term, 6 Months)

About the role

dmg events, an international exhibitions and publishing company, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Accountant on a fixed-term basis of 6 months in Dubai. The role provides financial, administrative and accounting support to keep accounts receivable operations accurate and error-free, in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Candidates must be able to prioritise tasks, communicate clearly and work both independently and in a team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate cash balances and registers
• Investigate unverified payments with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce periodic daily and monthly reports to senior management
• Work with online ecommerce merchant providers to streamline processes and reconciliation reports
• Reconcile sales data against finance data periodically
• Answer customer enquiries and resolve queries within the agreed SLA
• Post customer payments (cash, cheques and credit card transactions) into the accounting software
• Raise invoices and credit notes and send them to customers on time
• Assist with month-end duties such as bank reconciliations and posting outstanding entries

Required profile

• Accounting background and at least 1 year of experience
• Own visa required; the employer does not sponsor visas for this role
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Methodical approach, attention to detail, good time management and problem-solving abilities

• Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
