Adjunct Faculty – Arabic Studies

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to deliver Arabic Studies courses to second‑language learners. The role involves creating a student‑centric learning environment that respects diverse cultures and traditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver effective instruction in assigned General Studies subjects and multiple specific areas of the Arabic Studies program.
• Participate actively in academic and extra‑curricular events within the college and the wider community.
• Teach undergraduate courses, including capstone projects, work‑experience modules, and senior‑level specialized subjects.
• Contribute to applied research, outreach activities, and community engagement initiatives.
• Manage a teaching load not exceeding nine (9) credit hours per semester, with workdays Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑8 PM.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Arabic Studies or a related field (or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience and relevant certification).
• Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, preferred.
• Professional certification pertinent to the discipline is required.
