About the role

Otis Elevator Company is looking for an Adjuster to join its service team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The role involves performing safety checks, lubrication, testing and adjustments on elevators and escalators to ensure reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks at client sites before starting work.
• Clean, lubricate and test the over‑speed governor and Safety Action Mechanism.
• Check and correct static balancing of units and adjust final limits under senior guidance.
• Install door skates, set door locks and verify bolt tightness during inspection mode.
• Perform unit safety checks by travelling the car top, inspecting electrical functions and adjusting acceleration, deceleration and ride quality.
• Inspect motor pits and escalator steps, remove debris and test escalator operation.
• Prepare installation inspection reports, field test data reports and safety audit documentation.
• Escalate any concerns or non‑conformities to the supervisor.

Required profile

• No formal qualifications required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to work under the guidance of a senior adjustor.
• Basic understanding of elevator and escalator components.
