Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Senior Analyst

About the role

Vertiv is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Senior Analyst to support the Busbar product line at its RAK, UAE manufacturing location, within the EMEA Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization. The role covers new product introduction, manufacturing readiness, process development, product transfers, tooling and fixture definition, standardization and continuous improvement, working closely with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and Plant Manufacturing Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Support NPDI readiness for Busbar products at the RAK site and prototype, pilot and pre-production builds from a manufacturing engineering perspective.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plans for new Busbar products and product changes, ensuring processes, tooling, fixtures, layouts, work instructions, drawings, bills of materials and test methods are ready for launch and ramp-up.
• Coordinate industrialization activities and drive design for manufacturability and design for assembly reviews.
• Support plant-to-plant product transfers, standardized manufacturing documentation and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Assist with capacity analysis, line balancing, layout development, labor optimization and process flow improvements.
• Specify process capabilities, support PFMEA and control plans, and coordinate problem-solving, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
• Act as technical advisor to the RAK site and support ramp-up and stabilization of new or modified processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, industrialization or technical operations.
• Experience supporting new product introduction, product transfers, process development and manufacturing readiness.
• Fluent English; ability to travel up to 5%; no visa sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, product data management systems, CAD tools and manufacturing data analysis tools.
• Layout development with AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Preferred: ERP/MRP systems, capital project justification, and experience in Busbar, metal processing, conductor or fabrication environments.
