Advanced Manufacturing Junior Engineer

About the role

Edge’s POWERTECH centre of excellence is seeking a hands‑on Junior Engineer to support manufacturing process development for its propulsion programmes. You will work in a green‑field environment, contributing to the design, validation and industrialisation of machining and fabrication processes for rotating and structural engine components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and continuously improve machining and fabrication processes such as turning, milling, multi‑axis machining, grinding, broaching, airfoil machining and welding.
• Create and maintain manufacturing routings, work instructions and detailed process documentation.
• Support process validation activities including First Article Inspection (FAI), capability studies and industrial qualification.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of turbofan, micro‑jet and piston engine components.
• Assist in the set‑up and optimisation of CNC machines and related tooling.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience or recent graduate with a technical background.
• Strong hands‑on aptitude for machining, fabrication and process documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
