AI Application Development Engineer Graduate – Procurement Platform

About the role

Join ByteDance's Corporate Information team to help transform a traditional procurement system into an AI‑native platform. As a graduate engineer you will work on cutting‑edge Procurement Agents and the underlying System AI Harness, gaining deep domain knowledge while applying frontier AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core services, business logic, data flows, and system integrations for AI‑native procurement.
• Explore and implement AI Agent capabilities such as planning, tool use, memory, and multi‑step reasoning, turning research prototypes into production‑grade features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to break down complex problems and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, eligible for the 2027 campus hiring program.
• Strong logical thinking, independent problem‑breakdown ability, and a genuine passion for exploring frontier AI technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Golang, Java or Python.
• Experience with AI‑related projects, LLM‑based systems, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), tool/function calling, or agent orchestration frameworks.
