Power BI Developer

About the role

The Power BI Developer supports client reporting and analytics needs by building reliable dashboards, datasets, data models and data pipelines across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory and Power BI Service. The role works closely with business users and CRM teams to turn their reporting needs into clear, maintainable analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets and semantic models for business users.
• Build data models using Power BI, DAX and Power Query, and create clear, usable visualizations.
• Connect Power BI to SQL Server, Dataverse, Excel, APIs and cloud data sources.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes with SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Work with Dataverse data models, tables, relationships and security configurations.
• Prepare, clean, transform and validate data for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize report performance, dataset refresh, query performance and model design.
• Implement row-level security, workspace permissions and data access controls.
• Support data migration, validation, reconciliation and data quality activities.
• Publish, manage, monitor and maintain reports and datasets in Power BI Service, and troubleshoot reporting issues, refresh failures and performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report development, dashboard design, DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data structures, SSIS, Azure Data Factory and API-based data integration.
• Good understanding of reporting security, row-level security, data refresh, gateway concepts and Power BI Service administration.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and strong troubleshooting skills for data quality, refresh, reconciliation and performance issues.
