AI/ML Computational Science Manager

About the role

Accenture is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and machine‑learning solutions. You will translate business needs into production‑grade systems across cloud, edge, and high‑performance computing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop AI/ML systems using major cloud AI platforms and build scalable data pipelines with DevOps/MLOps best practices.
• Lead R&D of new algorithms, deep‑learning and generative AI models, and apply them to complex business problems.
• Manage large‑scale datasets, ensure high‑quality preprocessing, and maintain efficient model storage and retrieval mechanisms.
• Mentor and develop a team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists, setting technical direction and engineering standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science or software engineering, with proven leadership of technical teams.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud AI platform (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
• Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions and business value to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python programming and deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Deep Learning and Generative AI expertise, including LLM fine‑tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• MLOps/DevOps tools: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow or Kubeflow, model monitoring.
• Data pipeline technologies: Spark, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka.
• Data storage: SQL/NoSQL databases, data lakes, vector databases (FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone).
• Edge and HPC deployment: ONNX, TensorRT, quantization, CUDA, distributed training.
