Analytics Engineer – AWS Data Stack

About the role

Statera is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to design and implement scalable analytics solutions within the AWS ecosystem. You will work on large‑scale data sets, build robust data models, and enable self‑service business intelligence for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Query and transform massive datasets using Amazon Athena, Redshift, S3 and AWS Glue.
• Design, maintain, and optimize analytical data models, including star schemas and slowly changing dimension (SCD) tables.
• Develop complex, high‑performance SQL queries, views, CTEs and window functions.
• Build and orchestrate ETL pipelines with Python (pandas, boto3) and AWS services.
• Create and maintain enterprise Tableau dashboards, defining semantic layers, KPIs and metrics.
• Support self‑service BI initiatives and deliver data stories for executive audiences.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with the AWS Data Stack (Redshift, Athena, S3, Glue).
• Advanced SQL expertise and strong Python programming skills, especially with pandas and boto3.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, star schemas, SCD and incremental data loads.
• Familiarity with columnar formats such as Parquet and ORC.
• Experience with AWS IAM and data‑access controls.
• Proven track record of building enterprise Tableau dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
