Application Engineer – HVAC Ducts, VAVs and Dampers

About the role

Oasis Investment Company (Al Shirawi Group) is hiring a full-time Application Engineer in Dubai for fire-rated ducts, VAVs and dampers. The engineer supports the sales team technically, prepares quotations and BOQs, and advises project managers and site teams on installation and commissioning requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the sales team in reviewing enquiries, RFQs and tenders from a technical standpoint
• Prepare BOQs and quotations, including heat load calculations and equipment selection when the customer does not provide a schedule
• Follow up on quotations and prepare technical submittals based on contract specifications for contractor and consultant approval
• Recommend cost-effective product solutions while complying with project specs and evaluate value engineering options without compromising safety or performance
• Provide clarification to project managers and site teams on installation and commissioning requirements of dampers
• Prepare the order estimation sheet, get it approved by the Sales Manager or Senior Manager, prepare the project file and hand it over to the Sales Coordinator
• Send order acknowledgements to customers and coordinate with clients and production on export projects

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in engineering; graduation or post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant experience as an Application Engineer or in similar roles
• Understanding of HVAC systems, heat load calculations and HVAC design using AutoCAD or similar software
• Experience in sales support, including creating quotations and understanding commercials
• Good written and verbal communication skills
