Application Engineer (Mechanical Engineering, Composites)

About the role

The Application Engineer provides technical bid support to Sales and Proposals, ensuring that FGS products are applied within design and performance specifications while complying with engineering principles, codes and operational feasibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical bid support to Sales and Proposals, ensuring product solutions meet customer requirements and engineering standards.
• Perform engineering calculations such as pipe properties, hydraulic analysis, design verification, sizing and stress analysis for fiberglass piping systems.
• Prepare and deliver technical tender packages, including clarifications, deviations and product literature.
• Deliver technical training and presentations to employees, distributors and customers, and visit project sites to resolve issues.
• Drive efficiency improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and enhance deliverable quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience on international projects, preferably with composites and fiberglass piping systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards and quality control procedures.
