Applied AI Engineer (VP)

About the role

As an Applied AI Engineer (VP) you will design, build and optimise the workflows and architectures that power advanced AI applications for a forward‑thinking financial services organisation. You will ensure solutions are robust, scalable and ready for production, playing a critical role in delivering AI‑driven insights and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI workflows and agentic architectures.
• Build end‑to‑end AI pipelines that integrate models, retrieval systems and data platforms.
• Collaborate with Applied AI specialists to deploy innovative AI solutions into production environments.
• Optimise performance, reliability and scalability of AI systems across the organisation.
• Drive best practices in AI engineering, architecture, monitoring and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and deploying AI solutions in production.
• Strong understanding of workflow architecture, orchestration and AI system design.
• Experience with vector databases, retrieval systems and modern AI frameworks.
• Background in software engineering, AI engineering, data engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to scale AI applications beyond proof‑of‑concept.
