Arabic-Speaking Associate – Dispute Resolution

About the role

Rubert & Partners is looking for an Arabic-speaking lawyer to join its growing Dispute Resolution practice in the UAE. The role suits a hands-on lawyer who supports the team across UAE litigation, commercial disputes, negotiations and legal drafting, working closely with the Managing Partner and the dispute resolution team on active matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with commercial and civil disputes before UAE courts
• Draft and review legal memoranda, submissions, correspondence and settlement documentation
• Review Arabic court documents and evidence and summarise them clearly in English with recommendations
• Support negotiations and settlement discussions
• Liaise with local advocates, experts, clients and other stakeholders
• Carry out legal research and develop case strategy
• Support arbitration and DIFC Court matters
• Manage matters proactively, keeping track of deadlines and next steps

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with relevant UAE dispute resolution experience
• Fluent Arabic and English, including strong legal drafting skills
• Experience with UAE court proceedings
• Previous experience with DIFC Courts and/or arbitration is a strong advantage
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and counterparties
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider team
