Arabic Teacher (International School)

About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking for an enthusiastic Arabic Teacher to join its vibrant international community. You will inspire learners from the Foundation Stage through Secondary, delivering the Arabic curriculum in line with the UK National Curriculum and supporting the school’s IGCSE and IB programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Arabic lessons for students aged 3‑18, adapting content to suit different ability levels.
• Develop engaging learning resources and employ a variety of teaching methodologies.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to integrate Arabic learning with other subjects.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities and school events.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and contribute to pastoral care.

Required profile

• Passionate about teaching Arabic and committed to continuous professional development.
• Strong experience with the UK National Curriculum; experience in international schools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Positive mindset and dedication to student wellbeing.

Required skills

• Fluent proficiency in Arabic (both spoken and written).
• Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment for primary and secondary education.
• Classroom management and lesson planning abilities.
