About the role
The Arbitration Legal Secretary provides comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the arbitration team, ensuring smooth case management, client communication, and document preparation in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for lawyers.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls professionally.
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems for arbitration matters.
- Liaise with clients, coordinate document submissions, and support due‑diligence processes.
- Arrange notarisation, legalisation, and attestation of documents.
- Assist with time entry, billing, expense tracking, and invoice follow‑up.
- Support client onboarding and file opening while ensuring confidentiality.
- Draft, format, proofread, and finalise arbitration documents, including statements of claim, defence, witness statements, expert reports, procedural applications, and hearing bundles.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or similar legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal documentation and arbitration processes.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
