Architect – Construction Supervision (High‑rise Projects)

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect to join its Construction Supervision team. The role focuses on high‑rise residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments, ensuring that architectural works meet contract documents, specifications, codes and the approved design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site architectural works for compliance with drawings, specifications and authority requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify quality of workmanship, materials, finishes and installation methods.
• Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, mock‑ups, method statements and RFIs.
• Monitor construction progress, identify technical issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, façade, interior design, landscape and specialist subcontractors to resolve interface issues.
• Prepare observation reports, non‑conformance reports, snag lists and support close‑out activities.
• Verify completed works for interim payment applications and advise the Resident Engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 7–12 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in construction supervision of high‑rise residential projects.
• Experience in the UAE or GCC construction environment.
