Architectural Coordinator - Hospitality & Residential Projects

About the role

An international design and supervision consultancy client needs an experienced Architectural Coordinator to join its team in Dubai on high-profile new hospitality and residential projects. The position is an initial 12-month contract, filled by outsourced staff through J10 Consulting, and is available for immediate joining.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all design disciplines and specialist sub-consultants, including Façade, Landscape, Water Features, Kitchen, Sustainability, Acoustics, Specialist Lighting, Sauna, Swimming Pools, Structural and MEP.
• Act as the central coordination point between the Employer, PMC, contractor, LDC and sub-consultants.
• Organise coordination meetings, prepare minutes, maintain action trackers and respond to technical correspondence.
• Track design deliverables, milestones and technical information needed to support construction progress.
• Monitor and expedite shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and other technical submissions.
• Follow up on RFIs, design clarifications, interface issues and design changes with the responsible disciplines.
• Coordinate the resolution of design discrepancies and technical issues arising during construction.
• Coordinate and monitor authority submissions, NOCs, approvals and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in design and construction coordination for high-end projects.
• Proven architectural coordination experience on hospitality and residential projects.
• Previous experience in a recognised design or supervision consultancy is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Synchro.
