Architectural Engineer

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an Architectural Engineer to lead the transformation of a 50‑plus‑storey tower and its extensive basement network into a fully functional, high‑performance building. The role sits at the intersection of architecture, structural engineering and MEP systems, ensuring the design intent is realised while meeting stringent safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, engineering and installation of high‑rise façade systems, including unitised and stick curtain walls, cladding and BMU equipment.
• Coordinate architectural shop drawings with reflected ceiling plans and resolve clashes with massive MEP ductwork and piping using 3D BIM environments.
• Drive mock‑up creation, material submittals and approvals for luxury finishes such as marble, custom joinery and specialised glazing.
• Manage detailed execution of deep basements, ensuring waterproofing membranes, protective screeds, traffic coatings and wayfinding signage are correctly applied.
• Ensure all architectural elements comply with the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, local municipality regulations and green building standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience on high‑rise or large‑scale commercial projects, preferably with complex façade and envelope requirements.
• Strong understanding of fire safety, waterproofing and building code compliance in the UAE.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with consultants, contractors and client representatives.
