Architectural Inspector

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Architectural Inspector to join its Dubai team. You will conduct on‑site inspections to ensure projects comply with the UAE Building Code, Dubai Municipality standards and approved architectural specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough on‑site inspections of buildings and construction sites to verify compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Analyse architectural drawings, plans and technical documentation for adherence to approved designs.
• Evaluate building materials, construction methods and structural integrity to maintain quality and safety.
• Document findings, non‑conformances and safety hazards in detailed reports using digital platforms.
• Communicate violations and corrective actions to architects, engineers, contractors and project managers.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, photographs and correspondence for regulatory purposes.
• Stay updated on changes to UAE building codes and construction regulations through continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Architectural Inspector or in a similar inspection role within construction or consultancy.
• In‑depth knowledge of the UAE Building Code, Dubai Municipality regulations and local construction standards.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building systems and structural assessment.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience using digital inspection tools and inspection management systems.
• Photography and visual documentation skills for recording construction progress and deficiencies.
