Architectural Site Inspection Engineer

About the role

Penspen is hiring a highly experienced Architectural Site Inspection Engineer with a background in Oil & Gas. The engineer inspects architectural and finishing works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. The position is based in Abu Dhabi under a fixed-term full-time contract.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect architectural works such as blockwork, plastering, flooring, ceilings, painting, waterproofing, doors and windows.
• Verify materials and workmanship against approved submittals and specifications.
• Review inspection requests and report defects or non-compliant work.
• Coordinate with contractors and other engineering disciplines to resolve site issues.
• Maintain inspection records, prepare snag lists and verify corrective actions.
• Support final inspections and project handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, industrial and structural fields.
• Previous UAE/GCC experience is mandatory.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and authority procedures is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, reporting and coordination skills.
