Area Sales Manager & Business Developer West Africa

About the role

Palfinger is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager & Business Developer to lead growth across West Africa. You will shape the regional sales strategy, expand the dealer network, and build strong relationships with distributors and key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Palfinger products in West Africa, targeting revenue growth and market expansion.
• Identify, evaluate, and appoint new dealers in collaboration with the Network Development department.
• Manage relationships with distributors, strategic partners, and key customers throughout the region.
• Conduct market analysis, uncover new business opportunities, and enter emerging industry segments.
• Provide product expertise, lead commercial negotiations, and deliver solution‑based sales.
• Monitor sales performance, produce forecasts and reports, and coordinate with internal teams for project delivery.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• Proven sales and business development experience, preferably in industrial equipment or lifting solutions.
• Strong understanding of distributor management and market development in emerging or international markets; West Africa experience is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills with multicultural stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently across the region.
