Area Visual Merchandiser

About the role

The Area Visual Merchandiser will lead the visual merchandising strategy across a large region of stores for Apparel Group. This role ensures brand consistency, drives commercial impact, and mentors a team of Senior and Visual Merchandisers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and guide Senior Visual Merchandisers and Visual Merchandisers in multiple stores, ensuring high-quality visual execution aligned with brand image and commercial goals.
• Design, plan and oversee window displays, in-store layouts and promotional setups, maintaining consistent visual standards across locations.
• Conduct regular team meetings to share market insights, provide creative direction and address challenges.
• Collaborate with operations, buying and brand management to align visual strategies with inventory, promotions and sales targets.
• Perform market research, competitor analysis and trend monitoring to innovate store displays.
• Manage the visual merchandising budget for the area and report on performance.
• Mentor and develop visual merchandising staff, delivering training on brand guidelines and best practices.
• Visit stores regularly to assess visual performance, gather feedback and adjust displays to maximise sales.

Required profile

• 7-10 years of visual merchandising experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing a large area or region.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stores, mentor teams and align visual strategies with commercial objectives.
• Strong market research and trend analysis skills to drive visual innovation.
• Experience budgeting, reporting and collaborating cross‑functionally with operations, buying and marketing teams.
