Art Director - Mobile Game

About the role

ChillBase studio, an independent and innovative player in the gaming industry, is developing OneState, a mobile social role-play game built in Unity. Its art team is looking for an Art Director to shape the project's art strategy and build an autonomous art structure, working closely with the CCO and the producers.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the project's art strategy together with the CCO
• Build an autonomous art structure including roles, ownership, standards and processes
• Ensure AAA-level quality and visual consistency across the product
• Make key visual decisions and defend them at producer and director level
• Develop head-level roles and grow strong leaders within the art team
• Manage the balance between quality, timelines, cost and value
• Grow art direction as a driver of product and IP growth

Required profile

• Experience as an Art Director or Head of Art on game projects
• Strong expertise in mobile AAA realism and deep understanding of mobile platform limitations
• Experience building art systems, standards and processes, and collaborating with producers and directors
• Strong presentation and communication skills, strategic mindset, ownership and focus on results
• Willingness to work in a partnership model rather than micromanaging
• Native Russian language
• Cross-platform experience (mobile, PC or console) is a strong plus
