Art Teacher - Yasmina British Academy (Term 2 Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an Art Teacher for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in Term 2. The role involves delivering engaging art lessons, supporting pastoral needs and working with parents and colleagues. Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging art sessions that meet the curriculum requirements and cater to the whole ability range of the class
• Prepare learning resources, organise classroom provision and create displays
• Observe and assess pupils according to the Assessment Policy, and use assessment data to inform planning and intervention
• Provide feedback to parents and carers on progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings
• Act as form tutor and support the pastoral needs of students
• Manage classes effectively, follow the Behaviour Policy and be a positive role model
• Work with curriculum support staff, take part in department planning and school events, and run a weekly ECA each term

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or equivalent
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Experience in more than one international school is desirable
• Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum

• Clear understanding of the British curriculum
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
• Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
• Graphic design experience is highly beneficial
