About the role
The Asset Integrity Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks and related equipment in Oil & Gas and Power installations. The role involves conducting inspections, verifying compliance with standards and producing detailed reports for clients and regulators.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and integrity assessments of pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks and related equipment in Oil & Gas and Power installations.
- Ensure strict adherence to API standards (510, 570, 653), ASME codes and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Inspect pressure equipment, welds, corrosion protection systems and structural integrity; verify correct application of installation, fabrication, maintenance and repair techniques per API guidelines.
- Review and validate technical documentation including Inspection & Test Plans, inspection reports and equipment history records.
- Witness functional tests, pressure tests and non‑destructive examinations to confirm compliance.
- Identify and report non‑conformities, track corrective actions and ensure traceability and certification of inspected equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers, HSE, QA/QC teams and regulatory authorities; compile detailed inspection reports for clients and regulatory review.
Required profile
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in asset integrity inspection, pressure equipment inspection or similar role in Oil & Gas or Power sectors.
- API certification (510, 570 or 653) applicable to assignment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/structural engineering, pressure equipment and asset integrity management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work under time constraints and pressure.
Required skills
- API 510, API 570 or API 653 certification.
- Knowledge of API standards, ASME codes and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience with inspection of pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks and related equipment.
- Familiarity with non‑destructive testing (NDT) and risk‑based inspection (RBI) methodologies.
- Understanding of QSP procedures for surveillance inspections.
