Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

The Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager in overseeing the retail sales area of the branch, ensuring targets are met while delivering a high level of customer service. This role involves supervising staff, driving cross‑sell initiatives and maintaining a healthy, development‑focused environment for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing of the retail sales department and raise any concerns to the Branch Manager.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to Customer Service Officers (CSOs) and support them during peak periods.
• Drive the sale and cross‑sell of asset and liability products to new and existing customers.
• Monitor daily CSO operations, authorize transactions and assign tasks to ensure no pending work at day‑end.
• Achieve retail sales performance against KPI targets for each customer segment.
• Maintain compliance with audit, risk, legal and policy requirements.
• Work with the Branch Manager to allocate sales targets and achieve NPS objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 5 years in progressively responsible managerial roles within a branch network.
