Assistant Cost Controller

About the role

Viya, the UAE's leading golf and hospitality management group, is hiring an Assistant Cost Controller in its Logistics & Controls department in Dubai. The post reports to the Senior Inventory & Cost Controller and supports cost control and stock control, including month-end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Check and park receiving documents against purchase orders (LPO) and prepare daily food cost reports and executive meal summaries.
• Manage material in SAP and attend events over 200 covers, supervising event stocks and finalising revenues.
• Carry out surprise stock counts, reconcile beverage stocks and process physical inventories into SAP at month end.
• Analyse inventory variances, prepare deductions for shortages and send month-end reports to the Senior Inventory & Cost Controller.
• Provide analytical reports to outlet managers for evaluation, budgeting and forecasting, and assist chefs with recipe costing and menu pricing.
• Take part in committee work (Staff, Green Theme, Food, Sport) and be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider.
• Follow the Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values and the four service steps, and comply with information security policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Graduation certificate.
• Basic knowledge of cost controls operations.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SAP, Micros and MS Office.
