Assistant Head Teacher – Secondary

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated Assistant Head Teacher for the secondary phase. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will help shape strategic direction, uphold high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure student wellbeing across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in day‑to‑day operational management of the secondary school.
• Lead initiatives that drive academic excellence and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and enhance student wellbeing programmes in line with ADEK requirements.
• Assist in preparing for and maintaining international accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement the school’s vision and strategic plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in secondary education leadership or a comparable senior teaching role.
• Strong understanding of UAE education regulations and international accreditation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire staff, students and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
