Assistant Headteacher – Secondary

About the role

Nord Anglia International School, Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated, forward‑thinking Assistant Headteacher to support the Headteacher in leading the secondary phase. The role combines strategic leadership with day‑to‑day operational management to uphold high standards of teaching, learning, student wellbeing and continuous school improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Headteacher in providing strategic direction for the secondary school.
• Oversee operational management to ensure smooth daily running of the campus.
• Drive excellence in teaching and learning in line with the school’s vision and ADEK requirements.
• Promote student wellbeing and safeguard standards across all year groups.
• Lead school improvement initiatives and support international accreditation processes.

Required profile

• Motivated, forward‑thinking and innovative professional.
• Proven experience in secondary education leadership.
• Strong understanding of ADEK regulations and international accreditation standards.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, students and families to create a supportive learning environment.
