Assistant ICT Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant ICT Engineer to support the technology infrastructure across our Dubai campuses. The role involves installing, configuring and maintaining computers, peripherals and network services to ensure a reliable learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Unpack, install and test new ICT equipment, including computers, printers and peripherals.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of hardware, software and passwords.
• Set up user accounts, profiles and pre‑load software for classroom lessons.
• Perform routine printer maintenance, refill toner and cartridges.
• Provide on‑site support to staff, assess needs and implement effective solutions.
• Document all work performed and adhere to GEMS policies and codes of conduct.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Good communication skills to interact with teachers and administrative staff.
• Commitment to GEMS safeguarding policies and child protection standards.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and IIS.
• Understanding of basic network technologies.
